Over her near-30 year legal career, Christine M. Duignan has devoted her practice to advocating for workers’ rights. Christine focuses her expertise on briefing the legal memoranda that is critical to the firm’s federal class action practice. She graduated third in her class at the University of Florida, with high honors, received numerous awards and was an editor of the Law Review.

Early in her career, Christine clerked for the Honorable Edward B. Davis of the Southern District of Florida, which provided her with keen insight into the federal litigation process. She has taught legal writing at Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad College of Law and has published several articles on various legal issues, including workers’ rights. Numerous cases on which Christine has worked are published in the federal reporters.
As Of Counsel to Shavitz Law Group, Christine provides litigation and appellate support in FLSA overtime actions. Christine’s work focuses on complex class and collective actions and she has extensive experience at courts at all levels throughout the country.
Christine is passionate about ensuring that workers across America are paid all of the money they earn and is proud to dedicate her practice to workers’ rights.
Outside of the office, Christine is a certified yoga teacher, runner, and participates in the Coalition Connection, bringing yoga to underserved communities.
