Fla. Retail Chain, Managers Strike $1.2M Deal In FLSA Suit

A Florida based retail chain asked a federal judge on Thursday to approve a $1.2 million deal to end a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action from a group of its area managers who claimed that the company didn’t pay them for overtime.

The case is Maar et al. v. Beall’s Inc., case number 2:16­cv­14121, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The plaintiffs are represented by Gregg I. Shavitz, Susan H. Stern and Paolo C. Meireles of the Shavitz Law Group PA and Marc S. Hepworth, Charles Gershbaum, David A. Roth and Rebecca S. Predovan of Hepworth Gershbaum & Roth PLLC.
