Michael Palitz is a partner in the New York office at Shavitz Law Group. Michael is an experienced litigator who represents employees nationwide in both individual and complex litigation claims involving wage and hour and discrimination claims under federal and state law. He has extensive experience in all phases of collective and class action litigation and arbitration. Michael has served as lead counsel and litigated cases across the country against some of the nation’s largest and most sophisticated employers. He has collected over $250 million for clients in workplace disputes in various professions, including restaurant workers and managers, financial services employees, retail employees and managers, supermarket employees, call center workers, home health care workers, and nurses.
Michael also represents employees who have suffered employment discrimination at the hands of their employers. He advocates for pay equality for women and to make sure that women have the same opportunities for advancement and promotion as men. He is a fierce advocate for workplace fairness and fights to make sure that all employees are treated justly regardless of their race, gender, national origin, or religion. Michael prides himself in standing up for workers’ rights and tirelessly advocating for their causes.
Michael is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (B.A. 2005) and Pace Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2010). He was the Editor-in-Chief of Pace International Law Review. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Council, the Holy Cross Lawyers Association, and the Regis High School Bar Association.
